Forestry mulching in north Georgia
Clearing underbrush and small trees in place, leaving a mulch layer that holds the soil and slows regrowth. No burn piles, no haul-off.

What the work is
- A machine grinds standing brush, vine and small trees where they are.
- The material stays on the ground as a mulch layer instead of being piled and burned.
- That layer holds soil on a slope, keeps the dust down, and slows what grows back.
When it is the right call
- Overgrown acreage you want usable again.
- Clearing a build site without stripping it to bare dirt.
- Opening a view, a trail, or a fence line.
- Knocking back regrowth on ground that was cleared years ago.
When it is not
- Ground that needs to be bare dirt for construction. That is grubbing and grading.
- Mature hardwood. Big stems want a different machine and sometimes a different contractor.
Questions we get
How much does it cost per acre?
Most jobs land between $1,200 and $3,500 per acre. Thickness, stem size and access drive the spread. We give a firm number after walking it.
How long does it take?
Two to five acres of typical residential growth runs one to three days.
What does it look like afterward?
Open ground under a layer of chipped material. Not a lawn, but walkable, mowable and ready to seed if you want grass.

Walkthroughs are free and we will tell you honestly if the job needs a different contractor.
