GLW GEORGIA LAND WORKS

Service

Trenching

Utility, water and drainage lines, dug to depth and backfilled so the yard does not settle into a scar.

River rock dry creek bed built through a lawn to carry runoff

What the work is

  • Trenching to the depth the line needs.
  • Backfill and compaction so the run does not sink over the first winter.
  • Regrading the surface so you cannot tell where it went.

When it is the right call

  • Water lines to a barn, a shop or a second structure.
  • Electrical and low-voltage runs.
  • French drains and downspout lines.
  • Culverts and drainage crossings.

When it is not

  • Tapping a public main or anything the utility has to do.
  • Gas. That is a licensed trade.

Questions we get

Do you call 811?

Yes, for public utilities. Private lines on your property are not in that system, so tell us about septic, irrigation, invisible fence and anything a previous owner buried.

How deep?

Depends on the line and the code. Water below frost, electrical to its required cover, drainage to whatever fall the run needs.

Tell us what the ground needs to do.

Walkthroughs are free and we will tell you honestly if the job needs a different contractor.
